Looking for a witchin' good time this spooky season? Join us for a 3.5 hour sewing workshop focused on Basic Construction. Students can make two witch hats, one of fleece and one of cotton! Materials for both will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own cotton fabric. Both will have a strong interfaced base to make sure the point is pointing ! There will be an option for advanced sewists to made a reversible hat.
Skills You'll Learn:
How to follow a pattern (including pattern vocabulary and symbols)
Fabric measuring and cutting techniques
Choosing the best fabric for your project
Operating straight stitch and overlock machines
Applying interfacing for structure (Witch Hat)
Materials:
StitchWorks will provide all fabric and materials needed for this project. However, students are welcome to bring their own fabric if they prefer. Most any woven fabric will work for this project. Please make sure to bring 1.5 yards of fabric if you are supplying your own.

This class is self paced. Some students may complete project early and are welcome to free sew or leave early
PREREQUISITE: Into to Industrial Sewing/Skill 1 required
LEVEL: Easy - Intermediate
MINIMUM AGE: 16
CLASS CANCELLATION: We reserve the right to cancel class if not enough students sign up to participate. Should that happen, you will receive a full refund.

5pm: Arrive and pick fabrics
5.15pm: Intro to the pattern, learn how to assemble a small pdf pattern, learn new terminology
5.30pm: Cut out patterns and begin sewing
Open time to sew projects, self paced work time, break whenever you need
8.30: End of class
