Description: Basic Construction: Elastic Waist Pajama Pants
Join us for our first Basic Construction class of 2026, cozy jersey Elastic Waist Pajama Pants! Students will make their pants from stretch jersey that come in four classic colors: black, cream, baby pink, or burgundy.
** You are welcome to bring your own fabric but the cost of the class includes the fabric, elastic, and thread. If you have interest in bringing your own fabric please reach out to confirm the type of fabric and the width of the fabric needed. **
This beginner-friendly project will have students working with jersey fabric, gaining hands-on experience using the serger/overlock machine, as well as learning how to cut fabric and follow a sewing pattern.
This class is a great first project for newer sewists looking to build their skills and a quick, satisfying project for more experienced sewists. By the end of class, you’ll leave with a custom-made pants you’ll be excited to wear!
FABRIC AND SUPPLIES:
-StitchWorks will proved pattern, fabric, thread, and all equipment needed (SW will have a Black, cream, baby pink and burgundy colored jersey fabric options for this class.)
COURSE DURATION: 5 hours
This class is self paced. Some students may complete project early and are welcome to free sew or leave early
PREREQUISITE: Industrial Sewing, Skill 1 required
LEVEL: Intermediate
MINIMUM AGE: 16
