3 Day Thrift Flip Summer Program
Dates: July 9,10,11
Hours: Wed. & Thur. 9am- 4pm, Friday 9am-12pm
Prerequisite: No sewing experience needed
Age: 13 + ( all ages of 13+ are welcome to this program)
Fabric and Supplies: Mostly All Provided (bringing 2 pieces within your size to work with in your Flip is suggested. as we can not guarantee all sizing will be available)
Thrift Flip Summer Program: 3-Day Fashion Transformation
Unleash your creativity in our Thrift Flip Summer Program, a three-day immersive experience where you'll learn industrial sewing machine skills and transform thrifted and personal items into a new piece(s).
Day 1: Get comfortable using an industrial sewing machine with hands-on guidance. *Equivalent to our Intro to industrial sewing/ Skill 1 class.
Day 2-3: Select 2-3 thrifted items from our Lux and Ivy Rack and bring your vision to life by upcycling them into a brand-new look.
-For any participants whom have already attended StitchWorks’ Intro/ Skill 1 class will be welcomed to start their Thrift Flip Project on Day 1!
Perfect for beginners and fashion enthusiasts alike, this program encourages creativity, sustainability, and skill-building—turning old clothes into fresh, stylish outfits!
A waiver will need to be completed.
Average Camp Day
Day 1 &2
9:00–9:30AM | Arrival, Q&A, and morning activity/ review
9:30AM-12:00PM | Working with sewing machines or sewing of project
12:00-12:30PM | Lunch break*
12:30-12:45PM | Q&A and afternoon review
12:45-3:45PM | Project construction & sewing
3:45PM | Clean up
4PM | Instruction done for the day
Day 23
9:00–9:15:AM | Arrival, Q&A, and review
9:15AM-11:50PM | Work on project
11:50-12pM | Clean up & Instruction done for the day
*The studio does not provide food or drink. Students are responsible for lunch and any snacks.
Class Cancelation & refunds: We reserve the right to cancel class if not enough students sign up to participate. Should that happen, you will receive a full refund. Full refunds for student cancellations are only available with 7 days notice. If your student is not able to attend at the last minute, we won’t be able to fill that seat, and therefore you will not be offered a refund.
