Foundations of Hand Sewing Techniques- June 27th

This is a hand-sewing class, and no prior sewing experience is required—StitchWorks Intro/Skill 1 is not needed.

Learn the fundamentals of hand sewing in quick introductory class. Students will learn and practice 10 common and versatile hand-stitching techniques including the running stitch, whip stitch, ladder stitch, back stitch, and more.

Throughout the class, students will work on sampler pieces while learning proper stitching methods, thread control, knotting, and finishing techniques. These foundational stitches are useful for garment repair, visible mending, embroidery, crafting, and everyday sewing projects.

This session is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to strengthen their hand-sewing skills in a relaxed and creative environment.

LEVEL: Beginner

MINIMUM AGE: 16

PREREQUISITE: This is a hand-sewing class, and no prior sewing experience is required—StitchWorks Intro/Skill 1 is not needed.

FABRIC AND SUPPLIES: All are provided

COURSE DURATION: 3.5 hour class

CLASS CANCELLATION: We reserve the right to cancel class if not enough students sign up to participate. Should that happen, you will receive a full refund.
