How to Develop a Size Chart for your new clothing brand.

1. Check out a few competitors in a similar demographic. Tweak as necessary to "solve" problems or adjust to your brand. Remember that customers may have expectations for what a certain size is based on where they currently shop.

2. Check out the Wiki page as a very basic reference. There are charts for petite, tall, women's misses, etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._standard_clothing_size

3. Do you want number sizes or letter sizes? Number sizes are more specific (for things like pants, formal dresses), letter sizes are for a larger range of fit (used for things that fit loosely like scrubs, or stretch items).

4. How many sizes do you want to cover? Think about your target customer. If they won't be an XS, for instance, don't include that in your size chart. You can always grow your brand by adding more sizes later.
